De Born Oost is an expansion area of knowledge intensive companies combined with residential purposes near the Wageningen Campus (circled in red). Kadans Biofacilities is developing the area east of the Mansholtlaan (dark purple) jointly with Wageningen University & Research Centre (WUR). This development area (hereinafter referred as: De Born Oost) is about 5 hectares and provides approximately 40.000 square meters for Research & Development-intensive organizations. De Born Oost is easily accessible through the Mansholtlaan, which constitutes the main route to direction Ede and the motorway A12. In addition companies benefit of a site located directly at the Wageningen Campus.
The Wageningen Campus and the Southern construction site are on the west side of the Mansholtlaan. On this side WUR develops housing for the purpose of (semi) government, education objectives (direct in favour of WUR), parking facilities, student housing and some limited retail- and/or catering facilities.
